MINSK. Sept 24 (Interfax) - There are currently no trends towards unleashing war against Belarus, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.
"No matter how acute the situation around Belarus is, we have not yet seen any trends towards unleashing war against us," Lukashenko was quoted by the BelTA state-run news agency as saying during his visit to the Obuz-Lesnovsky training range in the Brest region.
"There is an old formula saying if you want peace, prepare for war. Once again, I want to say [...] that we are not going to war, we do not want war [...]. This has been said repeatedly. Our opponents, our rivals are listening to this, but they continue doing their job, that is preparing, let's put it bluntly, to fight against us. Therefore, we have to prepare for war. And God forbid that this war happens," Lukashenko said.
