MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Russia's northern group of forces has thwarted Ukrainian counterattacks and attempts to deploy reserves to the Kursk sector of the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Tactical aircraft, army aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery hit concentrations of troops and hardware of five mechanized brigades, a tank brigade, and two air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in addition to five territorial defense brigades, thus thwarting attempts to counterattack and deploy enemy reserves," the ministry in a statement said.
