Russian Aerospace Forces attack 21 bases of militants in Syria - Reconciliation Center

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Russian aircraft have struck 21 bases of militants in the Syrian provinces of Homs and Deir ez-Zor, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Capt. 1st rank Oleg Ignasyuk said on Sunday.

"The Russian Aerospace Forces have struck 21 detected bases of militants from the al-Tanf area, in desert areas of the Homs and Deir ez-Zor provinces," Ignasyuk said.

Twelve violations of the deconfliction protocols and the Syrian airspace by coalition aircraft have been recorded, he said.

"Six violations of the deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by flights of the coalition's unmanned aerial vehicles uncoordinated with the Russian side were recorded over the past day," Ignasyuk said.

"Additionally, there were six violations of the Syrian airspace by coalition aircraft in the al-Tanf area in the past 24 hours, including by a pair of F-15 fighter jets (twice) and a pair of A-10 attack planes," he said.
