Military court sentences Russian-Ukrainian citizen Permyakov to life imprisonment for attack on writer Prilepin

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - The Second Western District Military Court has sentenced Russian-Ukrainian citizen Alexander Permyakov to life imprisonment in the case of a terror attack that injured writer Zakhar (Yevgeny) Prilepin and killed his driver, an Interfax correspondent reported.

"Permyakov is sentenced to life imprisonment in a special penitentiary," Judge Roman Vladimirov said.

Permyakov will serve the first five years in jail.

Additionally, he was fined 700,000 rubles.
