MINSK. Sept 30 (Interfax) - The Lithuanian military has joined the training of Ukrainian troops in the UK as part of the Interflex international training operation, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry's press service said on Sunday.
"Lithuanian instructors are working directly with Ukrainian soldiers to provide them with the initial training, the main purpose of which is to develop basic infantry skills," the press service said.
"The soldiers will be trained to handle automatic and anti-tank weapons, give first aid in a tactical environment, conduct defensive and offensive operations under various circumstances, and acquire other basic skills needed to survive in the challenging combat environment," it said.
The training of Ukrainian troops under the Interflex international training mission began in 2022. It involves instructors from the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Estonia and Lithuania.
