MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Conscripts drafted to the Russian Armed Forces this fall will not be sent to the special military operation zone in the new Russian territories, deputy head of the Russian General Staff's Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate Vladimir Tsimlyansky said.
"Conscripts will not be sent on missions to the special military operation zone in the new regions," Tsimlyansky said at a press briefing on Monday.
A specific feature of the fall draft, which begins on October 1, "is the possibility of appealing decisions of draft commissions by conscripts in the pre-action procedure," he said.
"It is now possible to file a complaint with a draft commission of a constituent territory of the Russian Federation online via the Gosuslugi website. This can also be done in writing, on paper, during an in-person visit of a citizen to a multifunctional center providing public and municipal services," Tsimlyansky said.
"Citizens will be informed about the need to appear for draft procedures by paper notices," he said.
"They will be delivered to conscripts either personally against signed receipt or by registered mail," Tsimlyansky said.
The General Staff's Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate will open a hotline on October 15 to answer questions about the draft. "The hotline is due to operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays," he said.
"The conscripts whose military service has expired will be timely discharged and sent back home," Tsimlyansky said.
