Russian forces take control of Nelepovka in DPR - Defense Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - Units from the central group of forces have taken control of Nelepovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"As a result of active operations, units from the central group of forces have taken control of Nelepovka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said.

Troops and hardware of 11 Ukrainian brigades were hit near Kleban-Byk, Selidovo, Dzerzhinsk, Nikolayevka, Lysovka, Tsukurino, Sukhaya Balka, Druzhba and Shevchenko in the DPR, it said.

In that sector, "nine counterattacks by assault groups of the 28th, 47th, 150th, 151st and 154th Mechanized Brigades and the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelled," the ministry said.

"The enemy lost up to 630 troops, two Kozak armored combat vehicles, six trucks, a 152mm Msta-B howitzer, and a 122mm D-30 howitzer," it said.
