SIMFEROPOL. Oct 1 (Interfax) - One person has been killed and two have sustained injuries in a Ukrainian strike on a library in Kamenka-Dneprovskaya in the Zaporozhye region, the region's governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on Tuesday.
"A city library was hit with employees and visitors inside. A search-and-rescue operation has begun, and the debris is being cleaned up. As of now, we know that one person is dead, and a female employee and a visitor have sustained injuries of various degrees," Balitsky said on Telegram.
According to the preliminary information, there were no children in the library at the moment of the attack, he said.
Rocket artillery is shelling the city. Air defense is operating, Balitsky said.
