YEREVAN. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and United States Defense Intelligence Agency Director for Europe and Eurasia Regional Center Patrick Prior met in Yerevan on Wednesday to discuss areas of cooperation between Yerevan and Washington.
"The Armenian Security Council secretary [...] was pleased to emphasize interaction that has been built owing to close cooperation in Armenian-U.S. bilateral relations," the Armenian Security Council said in a statement.
Grigoryan and Prior exchanged ideas on a number of agenda items and "planned future areas of cooperation, where Secretary Grigoryan presented reforms aimed at enhancing and upgrading Armenia's security system," it said.
"The parties also discussed the regional security situation and touched upon some issues related to the extra-regional security environment," it said.
