Russian ships practice artillery firing in Baltic Sea

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - The Dimitrovograd and Morshansk missile boats have practiced artillery firing at air targets in the Baltic Sea, the Russian Baltic Feet press service said in a statement on Wednesday.

"The missile boats performed practical firing from AK-176 and AK-630 systems when the targets came on the firing line, destroying the mock enemy's aircraft," the statement said.

Sukhoi Su-24M frontline bombers and Kamov Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopters, which simulated high-speed and low-flying air targets acted as the mock enemy, it said.

"The air targets were simulated by SAB-250 illuminating bombs dropped by the Su-24M frontline bombers," it said.
