Russians view special military operation, nuclear doctrine adjustment, escalation of Mideast tensions as main events of past week - poll

MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax) - A third of Russians, or 33%, view the special military operation as the most important event of the past week, the Public Opinion Research Center said on Friday.

Other main events mentioned by the respondents were Russian nuclear doctrine adjustments (5%) and the hostilities in the Middle East, the pollster said.

The Public Opinion Foundation polled 1,500 respondents older than 18 in 104 populated localities in 53 regions on September 27-29, 2024.
