Bill on ratifying Russia's military cooperation with Sao Tome and Principe introduced in Duma

MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax) - A bill on ratifying an intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation with Sao Tome and Principe has been introduced in the State Duma.

The bill, proposed by the Russian government, was placed in the Duma database on Friday.

The agreement was signed in St. Petersburg on April 24, 2024.

Its aim is to develop long-term cooperation on military issues, an explanatory note said.

The agreement will provide the required legal framework for identifying the goals, areas and forms of bilateral military cooperation, protecting the interests of the Russian citizens who are executing tasks under the agreement from the state jurisdiction of Sao Tome and Principe.
