MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Russian forces have repelled another five Ukrainian attacks near four communities in the Kursk sector, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"In the past 24 hours, group units repelled five attacks of the enemy towards Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Novaya Sorochina, and Kremyanoye," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost up to 40 troops killed or wounded, an infantry vehicle, an armored combat vehicle and a truck, it said.
"Units from the northern group of forces continued their offensive and hit detachments of the 22nd, 41st, 47th and 115th Mechanized Brigades, 17th Tank Brigade, 82nd and 95th Air Assault Brigades, 1st National Guard Brigade, and 103rd and 129th Territorial Defense Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Daryino, Lyubimovka, Tolsty Lug, Novy Put, and Plekhovo," the ministry said.
Army aviation and artillery hit concentrations of troops and hardware of 13 Ukrainian brigades near Bondarevka, Goncharovka, Daryino, Zazulevka, Kurilovka, Leonidovo, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Martynovka, Makhnovka, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Novy Put, Nizhny Klin, Novoivanovka, Orlovka, Plekhovo, Sverdlikovo, Tolsty Lug, and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, it said
Tactical aircraft and missile forces hit concentrations of troops and reserves of seven brigades and one regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Sumy region near Belopolye, Bunyakino, Dibrova, Iskrikovshchina, Katerinovka, Malushino, Makeyevka, Mirlogi, Miropolye, Obody, Pavlovka, Rechki, Stepanovka and Shpil, it said.
