State to support special military operation veterans - Putin

UFA. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russia will do everything to support special military operation participants, including those injured, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"No doubt, I want to assure you: we will be doing everything to support you," he said at a meeting with participants in a tournament for special military operation veterans called Heroes of Our Time, held in Ufa on Thursday.

Putin said he is certain that nothing can stop the life and development of "people with such character, who were not afraid to go under bullets," even despite what happened to them after heavy injuries suffered in action.

Putin said he hopes that those special military operation veterans "whose lives were previously various, so to speak," will have a good future.

Bearing in mind that "you went through such serious hard trials, and that you didn't end up somewhere on the roadside, but here, in these wonderful halls, it seems to me that some will have a new life, despite all of the most difficult things that happened to you, including heavy injuries," he said.
