ROME. Oct 21 (Interfax) - G7 members prioritize the achievement of Ukrainian military interoperability with them and NATO allies, the G7 defense ministers and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said in a joint statement on Saturday.
"We consider it a priority to work now to find solutions to create a Ukrainian military interoperable with supporting member states and NATO, capable of defending Ukraine now and deterring further attacks in the future," the statement said.
"This process must be based on coordinated and sustained actions across relevant state and international actors," it said.
The G7 defense ministers met in Naples on Saturday. The NATO secretary general took part in the meeting, as well.
