Ukrainian energy facilities supporting military operations, airbase infrastructure struck - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Russian forces have struck Ukrainian energy facilities supporting operations of the Ukrainian army, as well as airbase infrastructure, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Monday.

"Tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian groups of forces hit Ukrainian energy facilities supporting operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as airbase infrastructure, drone workshops and drone depots," the ministry said.

A temporary base of foreign mercenaries and concentrations of enemy troops and hardware in 127 areas were also hit, it said.

Over the past day, air defense downed three HIMARS projectiles and 52 fixed-wing drones, the ministry said.

In all, 646 planes, 283 helicopters, 34,018 drones, 582 air defense missile systems, 18,743 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,478 multiple rocket launchers, 16,480 artillery systems and mortars, and 27,443 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation, it said.
