SIMFEROPOL. Oct 21 (Interfax) - A 330 kilovolt backup power line has shut down at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant, plant representatives said on Monday.
"The high-voltage 330 kilovolt Ferrosplavnaya-1 has gone off again at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant. The line was shut down automatically. The causes are being determined," the Zaporozhye NPP Telegram channel said.
The Zaporozhye NPP is receiving power for its needs from the right bank of the Dnieper, which is controlled by Ukraine, via two lines: the main 750 kilovolt Dneprovskaya line and the backup 330 kilovolt Ferrosplavnaya-1 line.
"The needs of the nuclear power plant are covered by the 750 kilovolt Dneprovskaya line. No violations of limits and security conditions have been registered," the plant representatives said.
The most recent shutdown of the backup power line at the Zaporozhye NPP was reported on October 1. Power supply resumed on October 3.
