Meeting of Russian, Chinese leaders lasted about hour

KAZAN. Oct 22 (Interfax) - A meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan lasted about an hour.

The two countries' delegations participated in the talks of the Russian and Chinese leaders.

The Russian president said during the talks that Moscow is committed to enhancing coordination with Beijing on all international platforms. Russian-Chinese relations are of non-opportunistic nature and have become an exemplar of how relations should be forged in today's world, he said.

The Chinese president, for his part, said that turbulence in international relations cannot shake confidence in the invariable choice of Russia and China in favor of strong support to each other and their friendly relations.
