MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Russia's Ufa diesel submarine and Alatau rescue tugboat have called at the Indian port of Cochin in the Arabian Sea, the press service for the Russian Pacific Fleet said on Tuesday.
"The Ufa diesel-electric submarine is performing an inter-fleet redeployment from the Baltic Fleet to the Pacific Fleet by the southern sea route," the press service said.
While at the Indian port, the Russian ships will replenish fuel, water and food reserves, it said.
The Ufa submarine of Project 636.3 is the fourth in the series of six subs constructed by the Admiralty Shipyards for the Pacific Fleet. It joined the Russian Navy in November 2022.
Submarines of Project 636.3 are armed with Kalibr cruise missiles.
