MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Moscow views the initiatives on resolving the Ukrainian crisis put forth by Ukraine's President Vladimir Zelensky as an attempt to draw the West into direct confrontation with Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"The main objective is to draw the West into direct confrontation with our country," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Wednesday.
Kiev's initiatives "pursue one and the same goal, i.e. escalating the conflict at the expense of the lives of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and robbing Ukraine by anyone who feels like it," she said.
"I'd like to remind everyone that an invitation to NATO for Kiev cannot be the subject of negotiations with Russia either now or in the future," Zakharova said.
