MOSCOW. Oct 23 (Interfax) - BRICS countries have condemned the detonation of pagers en masse in Lebanon in September, describing it as a grave violation of international law.
"We condemn the premeditated terrorist act of detonating handheld communication devices in Beirut on September 17, 2024, resulted in the loss of life and injury of dozens of civilians. We reiterate that these attacks constitute a grave violation of international law," the BRICS states said in their declaration following the summit in Kazan.
The summit participants voiced their general concern regarding terrorist acts using information and telecommunication technologies, which have become more frequent.
