Russia does not influence political situation in Georgia, Moldova - Kremlin

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Russia does not interfere in the electoral processes in Georgia and Moldova, while it sees Western attempts to meddle with Georgian affairs, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We are not trying in any way and can hardly influence electoral processes in those countries," Peskov told the press, while commenting on media reports alleging Russia's attempts to influence the political situation in Georgia and Moldova.

"We do not influence in any way and do not interfere in Georgian affairs. It is up to Georgians to make respective decisions. Yet we are observing completely unprecedented attempts of the West to interfere," he said.
