MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian forces have lost over 26,500 troops, including more than 300 in the past 24 hours, and 177 tanks in the Kursk sector to date, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 300 troops, and ten armored hardware pieces, including a tank, an armored personnel carrier and eight armored vehicles, as well as three artillery systems, five mortars, three vehicles, and an electronic warfare station were destroyed," the ministry said.
Four Ukrainian troops surrendered, it said.
"Since the start of the hostilities in the Kursk sector, the enemy has lost over 26,550 troops, 177 tanks, 93 infantry vehicles, 105 armored personnel carriers, 1,003 armored vehicles, 686 vehicles, 229 artillery systems, 38 multiple rocket launchers, including nine HIMARS and six MLRS made in the U.S., and nine air defense missile launchers," the ministry said.
