TBILISI. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has called Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's visit to Tbilisi very important, since Hungary is presiding in the Council of the European Union.
"As known, our foreign political priority is the integration with the European Union. Hungary has always been very supportive of our integration and has played an important role in providing an EU candidate status to Georgia," Kobakhidze said at a joint press briefing with Orban on Tuesday.
Georgia and Hungary share the goal of protecting their national identity and Christian values, he said.
"We deem it important to interact with Hungary in all areas, above all, to develop political cooperation. We highly appreciate Hungary's support for our sovereignty and territorial integrity," Kobakhidze said.
