EU extends sanctions targeting Transdniestrian leadership by one year

BRUSSELS. Oct 29 (Interfax) - The Council of the EU has prolonged restrictive measures for officials of the unrecognized Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic by one year.

"The restrictive measures [...] should be extended until October 31, 2025," said a decision of the Council of the EU amending the council's decision dated September 27, 2010 regarding restrictive measures against the Transdniestrian leadership, which was published in the EU Official Journal on Tuesday.

"This decision shall enter into force on the day following that of its publication" in the EU Official Journal, it said.
