TBILISI. Oct 29 (Interfax) - Georgia's Central Election Commission (CEC) has asked the Prosecutor General's Office to investigate the remarks made by President Salome Zourabichvili and other people claiming that the October 26 parliamentary election was totally falsified.
"President Salome Zourabichvili and representatives from several political parties which participated in the election continue their unfounded attacks on CEC aimed at discrediting it, which is why it is necessary to conduct a complex and objective inquiry going beyond the competence of the electoral administration," a CEC statement released on Tuesday said.
Earlier on Tuesday, the CEC accused Zourabichvili of trying to discredit electronic election technologies.
