U.S. expands anti-Russian sanctions list with hundreds of entities, dozens of individuals

WASHINGTON. Oct 30 (Interfax) - The authorities of the United States imposed new anti-Russian sanctions targeting over 30 individuals and more than 360 legal entities on Wednesday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury said.

Sanctions target, in particular, Russian companies and enterprises linked to the defense industry, design bureaus and research institutes.

In particular, the list includes Unmanned Technologies of Mordovia, NTC Arsenal, Russkaya Laboratoriya Vozdushnogo Transporta, and the Moscow Aviation Institute.

In addition to the Russian companies, sanctions were also imposed on foreign legal entities from China, Turkey, Switzerland, and Uzbekistan, among other countries.

Sanctions target suppliers of technologies and goods for the Russian defense industry and counter the circumvention of previously imposed restrictions, the Department of the Treasury said.
