Drones attack Berdyansk port, cause injuries, damage - Zaporozhye region governor

SIMFEROPOL. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Three people have been injured in a Ukrainian attack on the port of Berdyansk in the Zaporozhye region, its governor Yevgeny Balitsky said on Thursday.

"A massive attack was carried out on the city port, presumably, with the use of kamikaze drones. At this point three people are known to have sustained various injuries, they were taken to a hospital," Balitsky said on Telegram.

The attack did not disrupt the port's operation, he said later.

"There is minor damage to non-core structures used in organizing the operation of the Berdyansk port, which will not affect its normal operation. The operation of the port will not be suspended," Balitsky said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces used shells with a large quantity of destructive elements in the drones, he said.

This morning the governor said that kindergartens and social institutions had closed temporarily.
