MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Russian-North Korean Treaty of Strategic Partnership aims to deepen bilateral relations in all areas and stabilize the situation in the region, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"The Treaty of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership signed at a historic meeting of our leaders in Pyongyang has given a brand new quality to our relations. Indeed, this is a strategic partnership, including from the angle of intensity of the political dialogue," Lavrov said in his opening remarks at a meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui in Moscow.
"The Treaty of Strategic Partnership has laid a solid foundation for further deepening of our relations in every area of the bilateral agenda, and it is also bound to play a stabilizing role in the Northeast Asia region, as well as, in a broader sense, throughout our continent," Lavrov said.
