MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost over 250 troops in Russia's Kursk region in the past 24 hours, bringing their total losses over the entire time of the fighting there to over 28,850 service members, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses [in the Kursk sector] have amounted to over 250 service members in the past 24 hours. Three armored fighting vehicles, six artillery pieces, including a French-made Caesar self-propelled artillery system, one mortar, an anti-aircraft missile system, and nine automobiles have also been destroyed," it said.
"The enemy has lost a total of over 28,850 service members, 180 tanks, 101 infantry fighting vehicles, 106 armored personnel carriers, 1,062 other armored fighting vehicles, 777 automobiles, 254 artillery pieces, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 U.S.-made HIMARS and six MLRS, and ten anti-aircraft missile launchers over the entire time of the fighting in the Kursk sector," it said.
One Ukrainian soldier has surrendered, it said.
The Ukrainian army's overall losses in the Kursk sector also include seven transporting and loading vehicles, 58 electronic warfare stations, 12 weapon locating radars, four air defense radars, and 25 pieces of engineering and other equipment, it said.
