N. Korean missile launches are legitimate response to threats created by U.S. on Korean Peninsula - Russian deputy FM

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Moscow views North Korean missile launches as a response to the threats emerging on the Korean Peninsula because of the policy of Washington and its allies, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said on Tuesday.

"It does not have to warn us, it is a sovereign state that develops its policy irrespective of any other circumstances. However, we view the launch of this ballistic missile as a legitimate instrument, a response to the growing threats to North Korea and the entire Korean Peninsula due to the policy pursued by the United States and its allies," Rudenko told the press in Moscow. He was responding to a question on whether Pyongyang had warned Moscow about the recent missile launches.
