Russian Defense Ministry: Ukrainian forces lose over 29,800 troops in Kursk sector to date

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian forces have lost over 29,800 troops in the Kursk sector, including more than 200 in the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Since the beginning of hostilities in the Kursk sector, the enemy has lost over 29,800 troops," the ministry said.

"The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 200 troops, an infantry vehicle, four armored combat vehicles, two mortars and a truck in the past 24 hours," it said.

Two Ukrainian troops surrendered over the day, the ministry said.

Since the start of hostilities in the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian army has lost 184 tanks, 107 infantry vehicles, 107 armored personnel carriers, 1,082 armored combat vehicles, 809 trucks, 259 artillery systems, 40 multiple rocket launchers, including 11 HIMARS and six MLRS made in the U.S., 11 air defense missile launchers, seven transporter-loaders, 59 EW stations, 12 counterbattery radars, four air defense radars, 26 engineering and other vehicles, including 13 combat engineer vehicles and an UR-77 demining vehicle, five armored maintenance and evacuation vehicles, and a command vehicle, the ministry said.
