Russian forces strike energy facilities, fuel industry infrastructure supporting Ukrainian army operations - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 6 (Interfax) - Russian forces have struck energy facilities and fuel industry infrastructure supporting operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in addition to Ukrainian airbases and a drone workshop, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Tactical aircraft, attack drones, missile forces and artillery of the Russian groups of forces have struck airbase infrastructure, a drone workshop, energy facilities and fuel industry infrastructure supporting operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and concentrations of enemy troops and hardware in 146 areas," the ministry said.

Air defense downed a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force, eight French-made Hammer guided air bombs, four U.S.-made HIMARS projectiles, and 23 fixed-wing drones, it said.

"A total of 648 planes, 283 helicopters, 35,298 unmanned aerial vehicles, 585 air defense missile systems, 19,063 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,484 multiple rocket launchers, 17,368 artillery systems and mortars, and 28,010 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation," the ministry said.
