Armenia working hard to elevate relations with U.S. to strategic partnership - deputy FM

YEREVAN. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Armenia is working to expand the agenda of its cooperation with the United States and elevate relations with it to strategic partnership, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said.

"Regardless of the administration, relations between Armenia and the U.S. have institutionally stable foundations. It has been declared this year that Armenia and the U.S. intend to raise the level of their relations to strategic partnership, and intensive work is being done toward this," Kostanyan told journalists on Thursday.

Armenia is confident that "this work will be continued and finalized successfully" with a new U.S. administration in office, he said.

"Our agenda is based on common values and democracy. We're working to expand the agenda of our cooperation with the U.S., including toward deepening our economic cooperation," Kostanyan said.
