Armenia intends to deepen cooperation with NATO - Armenian Defense Ministry

YEREVAN. Nov 7 (Interfax) - A NATO delegation has discussed with the Armenian Defense Ministry the prospects of bilateral cooperation during a visit to the country, the Armenian Defense Ministry press service said.

"A delegation led by Vice Admiral Gunnstein Bruasdal (Norway), Deputy Chief of Staff of NATO's Supreme Allied Command Europe, paid a working visit to Armenia on November 5-6," the press service said.

"The delegation met with Maj. Gen. Artur Yeroyan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and head of the Department of Defense Policy and International Cooperation Levon Ayvazyan," the Armenian Defense Ministry said.

The meetings addressed issues concerning the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the ministry said. "The defense reforms implemented in Armenia were presented to NATO," the press service said.
