SOCHI. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The work on modern developments in the sphere of weapons is ongoing, but it is too early to disclose them, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"There are [such developments]. Something comes up constantly. Only yesterday, I spoke to one of the directors of our largest concerns. He was reporting his ideas in this sphere. But it is simply too early to talk about it yet," Putin said at a session of the Valdai Discussion Club on Thursday.
"We are close to putting in service our latest developments that I spoke about five years ago," Putin said, adding that the tests of these weapons were nearing completion.
At the same time, Russia "understands responsibility" as a country which possesses modern nuclear weapons, he said.
