MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Russian aircraft, artillery and drones struck Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
"During the week, units from the northern group of forces carried on their operation aimed to eliminate detachments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region," the statement said.
"Aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles and artillery hit troops and hardware of a tank brigade, six mechanized brigades, three air assault brigades and a special ops brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in addition to a marine brigade, four territorial defense brigades and a National Guard brigade," it said.
Seven Ukrainian brigades were hit in the Kharkov sector, it said.
"In the northern group's zone of responsibility, the enemy lost over 2,020 troops, nine tanks, 20 infantry vehicles, including six U.S.-made Bradley infantry vehicles, 34 other armored combat vehicles, 66 trucks, and 21 artillery systems," it said.
