UK, Azerbaijani leaders discuss clean energy, Ukraine

LONDON. Nov 12 (Interfax) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have discussed the situation in Ukraine and the clean energy transition in Baku, the UK government said on Tuesday.

"The Prime Minister said he was looking forward to working together on the clean energy transition," Starmer's office said in a statement following their meeting on the sidelines of the World Climate Summit (COP29) in Baku.

The two leaders discussed Ukraine, and Starmer reiterated UK support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, it added.

The COP29 World Climate Summit is underway in the Azerbaijani capital from November 11 to November 22.
