Russian forces take control of Voznesenka in DPR - Defense Ministry (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Russian forces have taken control of Voznesenka in the Donetsk People's Republic, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"Units from the central group of forces kept moving deeper into enemy defense lines and took control of Voznesenka in the Donetsk People's Republic," the ministry said in a statement.

Troops and hardware of the 33rd, 53rd, 100th and 109th Mechanized Brigades, 95th Air Assault Brigade, 5th Mountain Assault Brigade, 142nd Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and 101st Territorial Defense Brigade were hit near Zelyonoye Pole, Leonidovka, Druzhba, Dzerzhinsk, Sukhaya Balka and Dimitrov in the DPR, the statement said.

"Eleven counterattacks by detachments of the 53rd and 117th Mechanized Brigades, 152nd Jaeger Brigade, and 49th and 425th Assault Battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and 35th and 38th Marine Brigades were repelled," it said.

Ukrainian forces lost over 485 troops, a Marder infantry vehicle, five Kozak armored combat vehicles, five trucks, and seven artillery systems, it said.
