Mi-28 helicopters strike Ukrainian positions in Kursk region - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Mil Mi-28NM helicopters have fired missiles at a concentration of troops and a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a border district of the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"While on mission to support ground forces, the army aviation crews fired missiles at the coordinates provided by an air observer and eliminated a stronghold and troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the ministry said in a statement.

After the strikes, helicopters performed anti-missile maneuvering at extremely low altitudes and deployed decoy flares, it said.

The ministry released footage of the Mi-28 operation on Thursday.

It also said a Ukrainian pickup truck carrying Ukrainian troops on rotation was destroyed in the Kharkov region.

"The detected target was rapidly eliminated by a FPV-drone of the northern group of forces," it said.
