Gallery dealer Gelman put on Russia's list of terrorists, extremists

MOSCOW. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Russia's Federal Financing Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring) has put gallery dealer Marat Gelman (recognized as a foreign agent in Russia) on the list of individuals and organizations on whom there is information on their involvement in extremist or terrorist activities.

The corresponding entry appeared on the Rosfinmonitoring list on Thursday.

Under the legislation, banks freeze the funds of individuals included in this list and suspend services to them.

The Russian Justice Ministry included Gelman in the register of foreign agent media on December 30, 2021.

Gelman has lived in Montenegro since 2014. He co-founded an art residence in Kotor in 2015.

It was reported in 2022 that Gelman had been put on the wanted list.
