SUKHUM. Nov 15 (Interfax) - Abkhaz President Aslan Bzhania has not given a specific answer to calls for his resignation, an Abkhaz opposition representative said.
"Bzhania said he needed time to think," Eshsou Kakalia, a former Abkhaz deputy prosecutor general, who represents a coordinating council formed by the opposition, told journalists on Friday.
The united opposition, which seized a complex of government buildings, set up the council to resolve the political crisis and hold talks with the authorities.
Parliament speaker Lasha Ashuba met with Bzhania and informed the council's representatives on the results of his talks with the president.
