YEREVAN. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Armenian Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan has tendered his resignation, ministry spokesman Narek Sargsyan said.
"I confirm this information. Vahe Ghazaryan has tendered his resignation," Sargsyan told Interfax on Monday.
Armenian Investigative Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan is also resigning.
"It's time to announce my decision to resign from the position of the Armenian Investigative Committee chairman," Kyaramyan said on the committee's website.
The decision to resign stems from internal reassessments of the situation with functioning of the law enforcement system, he said.
Armenian media reported the interior minister's resignation earlier.
The resignation of Armenian Supreme Judicial Council Chairman Karen Andreasyan and Anti-Corruption Committee Chairman Sasun Khachatryan was reported on Monday morning.
