TBILISI. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Leaders of Georgian opposition parties have announced that street protests against what they call the parliamentary election's falsification by the ruling Georgian Dream party will continue an unlimited period of time after Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili spoke at a rally of her supporters outside the Tbilisi State University and urged authorities to hold a new election.
"We ae continuing our protest rally on the grounds adjacent to the State University and will fight using peaceful means to the end," Nika Gvaramia, one of the Coalition for Change leaders, told the rally.
Giorgi Vashadze, co-leader of the opposition party United National Movement, told supporters that apart from rallies, "other decisions will also have to be taken."
Several hundred opposition supporters were simultaneously taking part in the rally outside the university at some point on Monday evening. About 30 tents for two people and two big tents were set up Sunday overnight in front of the university building. Several dozen activists spent all night in them.
Angry drivers often got into arguments with opposition protesters.
There were some police forces present near the protesters. However, police officers were inactive.
