MOSCOW. Nov 21 (Interfax) - Moscow rejects the allegations of its involvement in communications cables' rupture on the Baltic Sea bottom, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"Of course, one may look for the hand of Moscow everywhere, but there is still logic, facts, and objective information," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.
She thus commented on Swedish and German media reports on a probable Russian sabotage using ships under Chinese flags.
"EU and NATO members should invest in their scientific and technical progress rather than in the Kiev terrorist regime, so that they could avoid numerous problems and will not have to accuse anyone, either Russia, or China, or aliens," Zakharova said.
Even in Swedish media reports, many experts arrive at the conclusion that "such incidents are simply unavoidable for a number of objective reasons, considering active navigation in the Baltic Sea," Zakharova said. Such reasons include the human factor and the wear of equipment, she said.
"Let's hope the investigation will be brought to an end, unlike what happened in the Nord Stream situation," Zakharova said.
