PYONGYANG. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov arrived in North Korea on Friday for an official visit, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"During the official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the defense minister of Russia is expected to hold a series of one-on-one meetings with representatives of the country's military and military-political leadership," the statement said.
The official welcome ceremony for the Russian delegation was held at Sunan International Airport on the outskirts of Pyongyang. A guard of honor from the Korean People's Army took part in it. North Korean Defense Minister Gen. of the Army No Kwang Chol greeted Belousov as he left the plane.
