MOSCOW. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Ukrainian forces lost more than 300 troops in the Kursk sector over the past 24 hours and more than 38,235 people since the start of the hostilities, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"Ukrainian forces lost more than 300 troops over the past 24 hours. Three tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, three armored combat vehicles, five cars, a radioelectronic warfare station, and five mortars were destroyed," the ministry said in a statement.
The enemy lost more than 38,235 troops in the Kursk sector since the start of the hostilities, the statement said.
The enemy has lost 232 tanks, 168 infantry fighting vehicles, 123 armored vehicles, 1,228 armored combat vehicles, 1,087 road vehicles, 308 artillery weapons, 40 MLRS, 13 surface-to-air systems, seven reloading vehicles, 72 radioelectronic warfare stations, 13 counterbattery radars, four air defense radars, and 27 pieces of engineering and other hardware.
Over the past 24 hours, units of the northern group of forces hit formations of four mechanized brigades, a heavy mechanized brigade, a tank brigade, three air assault brigades, and two territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Viktorovka, Kazachya Loknya, Lebedevka, Leonidovo, Malaya Loknya, Nizhny Klin, Nikolayevo-Daryino, Nikolsky, Novaya Sorochina, Novoivanovka, Plyokhovo and Sverdlikovo, the statement said.
"Operational-tactical and army aircraft and artillery hit the enemy's personnel and hardware near Aleksandria, Guyevo, Zaoleshenka, Kolmakov, Martynovka, Pravda and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye, and also Basovka, Belovody, Zhuravka and Loknya in the Sumy region," the statement said.
The ministry also said a unit of the northern group of forces had destroyed a Ukrainian tank in the border area of the Kursk region.
A FPV drone destroyed a Ukrainian tank near a populated area in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said. The ministry published a video of the strike on the Ukrainian hardware.
