Shoigu to speak on Russia-Belarus Union State's strategic goals, objectives in Minsk

MINSK. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Minsk for a meeting of the Russia-Belarus Union State's Supreme State Council, where he will speak about the Union State's security strategy.

"Minsk will host a meeting of the Union State's Supreme State Council on December 6, 2024, and Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu will take part in it," the press service for the Russian Security Council's office told reporters.

"Consistent with the meeting agenda, Shoigu will brief the meeting participants on the Security Concept of the Union State. This is an important document defining common strategic goals and objectives and setting priorities in the provision of security in the Union State. It has been drafted consistent with the demands of the complicated international situation, amid the significant expansion of threats from the West," the press service said.
