Situation in Kursk region close to being resolved - Peskov

MINSK. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The situation in the Kursk region is close to being resolved, and normalization is pending, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"The situation is close to being resolved. Time will show how much," Peskov told the press.

"It will definitely be resolved. The situation will normalize. The problems need to be solved today," he said.

Peskov thus answered a question whether the appointment of Alexander Khinshtein as acting governor of the Kursk region means the situation was close to being resolved.
