MINSK. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin's Q&A session combined with the annual press conference will take place on December 19, and it is for the first time that artificial intelligence was used to collect questions for them, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Speaking of innovations, we have managed to broadly apply and quite effectively use artificial intelligence for processing questions from citizens. This is a truly [unique] technology, and thanks to the titanic work of specialists, it was possible to use the giga-chat. In fact, by the time of the Q&A session and the press conference begins, the president will have an idea of all the questions received," Peskov said.
Traditionally, there are millions of questions in presidential Q&A sessions, Peskov said. "No matter how many questions are asked this time, all of them will be processed by artificial intelligence by the time the president meets with the people. We will have an understanding of problems in every region and every city and will know the age of those who ask questions. This is a very important technology. It will be further upgraded," Peskov said.
Sberbank specialists will upgrade the technology together with the People's Front, he said.
The collection of questions for the press conference and the Q&A session will begin in the small hours of December 8 by every method available earlier, including the call center, a text message, the website of the Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin program, and social networks, Peskov said.
Foreign journalists admitted to the press conference will include those accredited in Russia and Western media representatives to visit Russia especially for this event, he said.
